Public Sector Undertakings
PSU, which stands for Public Sector Undertaking, or public Sector Unit, is also known as Public Sector Enterprise (PSE).The PSUs exam can usually be broken down into two sections: technical and non-technical. The technical section concentrates on the subject specialisation of the related stream, while the non-technical part includes General Awareness, Reasoning and Aptitude, Current Affairs and English Reasoning.
A public sector undertaking is a public sector company. They provide a secure future and good money as they are less affected by the recession. This field serves to provide careers for both technical and non-technical personnel.
Students who have technical backgrounds can apply in service-providing companies like MTNL, BSNL, SAIL, NHAI, NTPC, BHEL, ONGC, HPCL, BPCL, IOCL, and many more. There is a total of 252 PSUs in India. These PSUs recruit lakhs of diploma and degree holder personnel in the technical field. All these companies have their own recruitment process.
Some of these companies have competitive-type exams and some have technical written and interview tests. Its information is mostly notified on their websites and major dailies.

PSU EXAM PATTERN:
PSU exam pattern consists of four sections:
1.Technical Knowledge:under this you will be asked to answer subject-specific concepts that pertain to the branch or stream you are writing the exam for.
2.General English :this section covers questions on basic English grammar, vocabulary, and more. The number of General English questions will be comparatively lesser than the Technical Knowledge section.
3.General Aptitude & Reasoning:in this section , your ability to solve mathematical questions. Some of the topics include Numbers, Series Completion, and more.
4.General Knowledge & Current Affairs: In this section your awareness regarding nation , politics,Indian economy and news will be checked.
